The Handfields’ Sneak Peek in Phoenix, AZ
I’ve stopped searching for my perfect couples, and allowed the perfect couples to come to me…
My relationship/friendship with Jack + Emiley as their wedding photographer came in a different manner than with my usual JHP Couples. Jack originally reached out for help in planning their dream proposal - he had it all organized but was interested in getting the perspective of a photographer to see what would be photographed best. After hearing his plan, I wanted so badly to capture this dream proposal but logistically, did not work out. I remember saying to myself “I hope they inquire for JHP to be their wedding photographer/videographer.”
If you know Jack + Emiley, their hearts are pure and genuine with their intention to help out any and everyone in any way that they can. So, they gave another photographer an opportunity to build their portfolio to branch out into traveling. You are probably thinking “so how did you become their wedding photographer?” Unfortunately, the photographer originally booked was no longer able to fulfill her contracted obligations so a few months ago, I received the inquiry that I wanted so badly.
I’ve truly started to understand that my perfect couples will find me - no matter how and when.
From the start of the details to the grand exit, I found myself appreciating and celebrating every moment with these two and their friends and loved ones. We started the day out in the beautiful hotel of Residence Inn by Marriott, where we captured the flatly details, bride getting ready, and the first looks that had everyone emotional. Niki with NJ Event Collective made the planning process leading up to the day, seamless and paint by numbers. Having Niki on the day of took stress off all levels of the wedding day; from the vendors, decor, and even offering to be my personal light stand for bride and groom portraits. I cannot recommend Niki and NJ Event Collective enough and hopefully will have the opportunity to work with her and NJ Event Collective team again in the future.
After capturing that portion of the day, we then headed over to the beautiful, aesthetically pleasing venue two blocks away: Events on Jackson. When you first pull up, you would walk right pass the venue because of how private it is but when you take the first step in… WOW!! The layout, the way it gives different vibes but flows so perfectly - let’s just say I had a field day with the portraits captured at this amazing venue. The staff, other vendors were so personable and professional that it seemed as if I had shot 10 weddings at their venue. If you are looking for a venue in the PHX area and your vibes are modern, yet timeless; Events on Jackson is a must to have on your list of venues to tour for your special day.
So with that being said, it was my pleasure and honor to be able to work with Jack + Emiley on their special day. I caught myself “Oooo’ing” and “Ahhh’ing” so much during this wedding that made for choosing my favorites for their Sneak Peek extremely difficult. Photographs will always tell a better story than my words ever will, so enjoy some of their Sneak Peeks from the Handfields’ Wedding.
