Katelyn & Steven (A Glimpse)

Each wedding that goes by, I’m reminded of why I’ve chosen to pursue my passion in photography and videography. When I first started during the Covid year, it was to hold my attention. Then it became a way of financial responsibility to provide for my family. Well, now, it’s a way for me to connect and sometimes reconnect with clients and/or couples through the instrument of my God-given talent.

This reconnection of a friendship is not only huge for my portfolio but for the growth of my client relationship system, as well!

Katelyn and Steven have a unique love story that goes well-beyond this single special day that will be saved for when their full gallery is delivered. Katelyn and I met back in our college days where photography/videography was not in the picture. Both having mutual friends and same interests; our friendship came naturally. As many college friendships do, once moved on, communication fell out of touch. Fast forward nearly 8 years, Katelyn and Steven got engaged and Congratulations were in order. Like most of my friendships, I reach out to offer congratulations but without pushing my business - Katelyn, however, pursued the reconnection.

Booking Katelyn & Steven’s wedding at the time, was a pivotal turn in my portfolio, branding and overall time and effort that I poured into my business. Knowing the size, location, and other details of the wedding attracted me to want to be their photographer, but the intentional conversations and experience of the engagement shoot SOLIDIFIED my commitment to my passion - “Telling YOUR story in a way that your words can never explain.”
